Wellington rockers Sidewinder are heading to Tauranga, Hamilton and Auckland this April in support of their new single, Sirens.
Sidewinder is a new combination of experienced musicians with a sound described as ‘bluesy desert / southern rock with a grungy aftertaste’.
Sirens is the band’s first single and was recorded at The Surgery Studio with James Goldsmith engineering and mixing. Mike Gibson of Munki Studios did the mastering.
The tour is visiting in turn Tauranga, Hamilton and then Auckland. Sidewinder will be joined on the tour by Tauranga locals Thunderchild at the first two shows. Waikato rockers Vvoid will also be playing the Hamilton show. For the Auckland concert Only The Valiant and Dead Beat Boys will fill out the bill.
Further songs have also been recorded and will be released in the following weeks. A full album is planned for later this year.
