Checaine is a high-energy, hard rock band that prides itself on world-class songwriting, powerful vocal hooks, and a rhythm section second to none. They have been at the forefront of Australasian rock for over a decade and have released several EPs, an album, and a dozen music videos.
Checaine have routinely had their singles played on Bayrock, Generator FM, Kaos FM and NZ's national rock station The Rock. Checaine won the most voted NZ rock band in Bayrock's 'May NZ Music Month Band Vote Off Competition' in 2021.
Having shared the stage with the likes of Devilskin, I Am Giant and Fozzy; as well as headlining countless shows and tours of their own, Checaine are widely accepted as one of the Waikato's finest live exports.
Their new EP, Black River, is the band's most polished work to date and this has been in part due to the arrival of new drummer Joe Brownless (Heavy Metal Ninjas, Kaosis, ex-Kora) to the fold.
Black River was mastered by Kevin Churko, who is responsible for some of the biggest rock anthems of this generation having worked extensively with 5 Finger Death Punch, Disturbed and Ozzie.
All the shows are free admission so get in at doors to secure your spot. These shows will reach capacity very quickly.
