Saurian, the octopedal rock unit (aka four-piece hard rock band) from Dunedin, New Zealand, is well beyond excited to announce their upcoming EP, Octopedal Rock Unit. This release will showcase the band's relentless energy, hard rock attitude, and their ability to push boundaries with their powerful sound. Recorded at Sublime Studios in Kurow, New Zealand, Octopedal Rock Unit is a sonic display of Saurian's evolution as a band. This EP features five electrifying tracks, each contributing to the band's reputation for playing kick-ass rock.
The band’s two most recent releases, Gobstopper and Sheep’s Clothing will be included on the EP and the band believes that they’ve set the tone for the three remaining tracks. Both of the singles have been received with incredible amounts of positivity by reviewers, listeners, and live audiences alike and Saurian has no doubt that the EP will invoke the same response.
As with all releases, a celebration is in order for Octopedal Rock Unit. Saurian will be playing around the South Island in October and November on the Octopedal Rock Unit EP Release Tour. The tour will begin in Dunedin at Moons on October 28th before heading to Christchurch’s Darkroom on November 2nd and Pluto Project Space in Blenheim on November 3rd and will finish on November 10th in Invercargill at the Southland Musicians’ Club. Tickets for these events are available at Under the Radar.
