The Phoenix Foundation & SJD Theatre Tour
A FULL AUDIO VISUAL LIVE SHOW IN ALL SEATED THEATRES

In November 2005 The Phoenix Foundation and SJD come together for a 4 show theatre tour of the main centres with performances at Wellington’s Opera House, Auckland’s St James Theatre and The Repertory Theatre in Christchurch. With the recent release of The Phoenix Foundation’s ‘Pegasus’ and SJD’s Southern lights this is a rare opportunity to hear some of New Zealand’s most innovative and interesting songwriters/performers in fully seated theatre environment.

Visuals for all shows will be provided by Wellington producers Puck Murphy and Luke Savage who have recently collaborated with The Phoenix Foundation on video clips: ‘Damn The River’ and ‘All in An Afternoon’ from their recently released album ‘Pegasus’.

Wellington 6 piece, The Phoenix Foundation released their new album ‘Pegasus’ in May 2005 through Festival Mushroom Records and the album has since become one of the most acclaimed albums off 2005. It was recently nominated for Best Album at the 2005 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and is now on the verge of reaching gold sales in New Zealand.

Having recently completed a successful NZ album release tour as well as a sell out national tour with The Finn Brothers, The Phoenix Foundation’s performance will include an extended set featuring new material as well as songs from ‘Pegasus’ and ‘Horsepower’.

SJD

Auckland based singer/songwriter and producer Sean James Donnelly has been performing since 1999. His most recent work ‘Southern Lights’ was released in July 2004, and has gone on to receive numerous accolades including two Tui Awards at the recent 2005 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, as well as airplay on BBC radio and support from international artists Groove Armada and Kid Loco.

SJD will release a Southern Lights remix disk called ‘Pic’n’Mix’ on 28 October. Featuring a bonus EP of seven remixes by Phelps & Munro, James Duncan, SJD, Kid Loco, Mr Winter, Mood Unit and Greg Churchill. Pic'n'mix also includes a DVD of Southern Lights music videos containing 'Rising Falling Rising', 'Superman', ' Witness' and the latest video off 'Southern Lights'.
