Sola Rosa Tour Posted: Fri Oct 28, 2005 3:48 pm Juice TV and George FM present a new Sola Rosa Tour with full live band Following the immense success of the 'Moves On' album launch tour in August, the Sola Rosa band is on the road again, complete with guest vocalists Spikey Tee and Deva Mahal, thanks to support from Juice TV and George FM. And come on down Hamilton, because you're first up: SOLA ROSA with live band and guest vocalists Spikey Tee & Deva Mahal Friday 11th November - Sohl Bar, Hamilton Limited tickets available from Tracs and Sohl Bar Saturday 12th November – The Studio, Auckland With special guests Tickets available from Real Groovy Friday 18th November – Sandwiches, Wellington With special guest DJ Tickets available from Real Groovy, Sandwiches and DMC Records Saturday 19th November – Guv'nors Tavern, Palmerston North With special guests Limited door sales only Saturday 26th November – Southern Amp Festival (Ministry of Sound Tent), Christchurch Tickets available from Ticketek As with the launch tour Andrew Spraggon, Deva and Spikey will be joined on stage by: Ned ‘Killamanraro’ Ngatae – Guitar, Percussion: Ned is currently guitarist in Dimmer and Sola Rosa. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Trinity Roots, Che Fu & the Krates, King Kapisi, Dimmer, House Of Downtown and Soane. As well as his musical contributions, he is also a well-respected DJ with residencies on George FM, Tabac Bar and Safari Lounge. John Highsted – Percussion John has been playing live as a percussionist for 15 years and has performed and recorded with the likes of: Nathan Haines, Relaxomatic Project, The New Loungehead and Sola Rosa Matt Short – Bass Matt has played with Sommerset, Bollbox Rex and recorded with Sola Rosa. Will Scott – Drums Will has recorded and performed with Dimmer, King Kapisi and Anika Moa as well as Sola Rosa. The August tour presented a literally unforgettable live show. With that experience under their collective belts, imagine how damn fine it will be this time around.
