Top NZ acts to rock the Viaduct boat Posted: Tue Jan 10, 2006 3:32 pm Tickets are now on sale for a unique opportunity to see two of the country’s top music acts on one stage - Goldenhorse and The Exponents. The bands will be performing on Te Wero Island - as part of the Auckland Harbour Festival’s anniversary weekend celebrations. Tickets are priced at $39.90 (+ Booking fee) and available from www.ticketmaster.co.nz Goldenhorse will be opening proceedings with a set including hits from recent album ‘Out of the moon’ and classic debut ‘Riverhead.’ Then it’s time to lock up your babysitters, or at least book them in, as The Exponents take to the stage. The band will be joined by some very special guests as they perform in what will be the final show on their 25th anniversary ‘Sex and Agriculture’ tour. The Exponents are back together after 5 years apart to get on the road, pack out NZ venues and play more top forty singles than most bands can shake a stick at. In fact 18 of them, a NZ record! Closing with a spectacular ‘BANG!’ as every true rock act should, the show will culminate in a breathtaking display of fireworks - one of the biggest displays ever staged in Auckland city. At 9.30pm the skies will light up with a firework display visible from all over the city but best seen from Te Wero Island – making this concert one seriously hot ticket and a unique way to celebrate Auckland’s 166th birthday.
