Lucky audiences are soon to be spoiled by four gigs from up and coming musician Donald Reid for NZ Music Month. And better still it’s free!!

Singer/songwriter Donald Reid is no newcomer to the music business having performed in bands both here and overseas for many years.

In April this year Donald Reid released his debut album “In A Taxi Home” to critical acclaim. First single “All The Advice” is currently circling our airwaves at pop/mainstream radio while new single “You And Me My Friend” is about to land.

Every Thursday during May, Donald Reid will be showcasing songs from his new album, ‘In A Taxi Home’ at the gorgeous Honey bar in Auckland city.

Donald has been described as “a gifted tunesmith” and he “has a way with melody that’s as natural an unforced as Neil Finn”. Nowhere is this more evident than at his live shows.

Lyrical, infectious, compelling and entertaining.

All evenings will feature a different artist playing support starting at 9pm.

This Thursday, May 4th, is the beautiful vocal tones of Reb Fountain, a fellow Christchurch-ian that has also made the move north. Musically, she blends the sensitivity of Beth Orton with the brashness of PJ Harvey . But comparisons cannot describe her sound to its greatest advantage or capture the soul and coolness of her live performances. Luckily for us we will all have the opportunity to hear her tomorrow night at Honey.
