Yes the rumors ARE true, you can celebrate the New Year at Canaan Downs,Takaka Hill for 2006/2007!

Canaan Downs Enterprises Ltd is proud to announce the purchase of this iconic site that has previously hosted such outdoor events as the Gathering & Phat parties.

Our primary goal is to offer ongoing New Year's Eve dance parties starting with 'Uprising 07' this year - a multi day, multi zoned event running from midday 31st December to midday 2nd January that will feature live music, international & national DJ's, performers, VJ's, holistic workshops, healing, film & documentaries, art and sculpture installations from renewable resources, food/refreshment, stalls and much more - all in the most stunningly beautiful natural surroundings!

Uprising 07 will be catering to a wide range of musical tastes with homegrown NZ Music and Live Acts being well represented along with Breaks, Reggae/Dub, House/Hard House,Trance, Drum & Bass, Psytrance, Electro. With a diverse mixture of local, national and international acts there will something for everyone - as well as great food, coffee, entertainment and a huge camping area.

Tickets are on sale from Oct 13th nationally through Cosmic Corner and other local outlets, with an 'early bird' price starting out @ $89 (+b.f.), until Nov 15th when they will be $119 (+b.f). Tickets may also be purchased online from http://www.cosmiccorner.co.nz/

Uprising 07 comprises a potent blend of motivated people with industry backgrounds that include founding members/event organisers of Fevah, Visionz, Full Cirle, Stardust, Cosmic Corner and Circles to name a few... Many of our shareholders have been passionately producing/playing music for years and we are all looking forward to creating the first of many memorable events for you.
