Last seen on these shores in 2005 for the triumphant sold-out Crouching Fish Hidden Finger tour, Reel Big Fish have just confirmed their return. The Fish will be taking on the Kings Arms Tavern in Auckland for one show only this March. Joining them will be NZ’s own 8-piece ska-dub outfit the WBC. Having released their debut album Hi-Fidelity Offbeat last year and being no strangers to the live scene, you can expect a night overflowing with energy.

As part of the wave of Southern Californian ska-punk bands to edge into the mainstream following the commercial success of No Doubt and Sublime, Reel Big Fish was distinguished from the pack by their hyperkinetic live shows and amazingly devoted fan-base.

Fast forward to 2007, and after years of begging to be cut loose from their crappy deal with Jive, the band have finally made their escape. To celebrate their emancipation the band have just unleashed a new independent live double CD/DVD set titled Our Live Album is Better Than Your Live Album, and have taken to the road to spread the word and do what they do best – play live.
