RETURNING CHAOS DOWN UNDER IN 2007

THE USED
RISE AGAINST – AIDEN
ESCAPE THE FATE – THE BLED – GALLOWS

TOUR ON SALE TO COINCIDE WITH THE
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RELEASE
OF THE NEW ALBUM FROM THE USED...
Lies For The Liars

The Frontier Touring Company is ecstatic to confirm the return of the Rockstar™ Energy Drink Taste Of Chaos Tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2007. Featuring a stellar international line up of The Used, Rise Against, Aiden, Escape The Fate, The Bled and Gallows, the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos will return to Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland this October bigger and better than ever!

Since its inception to the Australian market in 2005, the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos has been embraced, attracting over 60, 000 followers, thus far. Founders Kevin Lyman (US Vans Warped Tour), John Reese of Freeze Management (The Used, Story of The Year, Evaline and more), and Darryl Eaton of Creative Artist Agency drew upon all their collective experience to make the tour a roaring success, both Down Under and internationally. In Australasia, the festival has become a MUST for fans of the genre, being the only one of its kind to specifically cater to this market.

The ever popular Hurley remain the international tour presenting sponsor for the Rockstar Taste of Chaos this year, and in further good news, Ernie Ball’s hugely successful Battle of The Bands is back!

The Battle of The Bands on the local stage is one of the many highlights of RTOC. The local stage provides home-grown talent with the opportunity to compete against fellow up and coming bands for a chance to showcase their music to thousands.

The popular specialist stalls, featuring offers, games, signings, prizes and promotions will also return this year, once again ensuring that the RTOC experience is not just a concert for fans, but a major music event.

In more exciting news, this will be the first year that the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos tour in Australia and New Zealand will be blogged from announcement through to completion! The blog will feature up-to-date RTOC news and tour information and will give fans the chance to have their voices heard!

Tickets to The Rockstar Taste Of Chaos will go on sale MONDAY 28 MAY at 9AM, just days after headliners The Used’s highly anticipated new album Lies For The Liars hits music stores nationwide. Don’t miss out!

THE USED www.theused.net

No strangers to Australian shores, The Used are BIG favourites Down Under. In 2005, the band’s first ever Australian show sold out in a matter of minutes. In response, the concert was upgraded to a larger venue and then sold out in just hours. The Used also headlined RTOC’s first foray into the Australian market that same year, blasting their way through arenas across the country to a rapturous response from fans and critics alike. Their sold-out Australian tour this May will be similarly embraced as they play songs from their brilliant new album Lies For The Liars. The album has been hailed as the band’s best effort to date.

With their explosive, manic live shows and massive following Down Under, The Used are the perfect fit for RTOC and will be sure to have the masses eating out of the palms of their hands!

New Zealanders in particular should be especially excited about this one, as this is the band’s first ever trip to the nation!

[Lies for the Liars is out May 19 through Warner Music Australia]

RISE AGAINST www.riseagainst.com

Rise Against were invited to be a part of the inaugural RTOC in Australia in 2005, and proved to be one of the best bands on the bill as they whipped thousands into a frenzy. Punk rock at its finest, Rise Against never disappoint on stage, as evidenced by their run of sold out shows across Australia and New Zealand last December.

Their latest and most accomplished release to date The Sufferer and the Witness proves they also excel off stage. Touted by many as one of the best releases of 2006, the album earned the band a well-deserved new legion of fans. Watch out RTOC, Rise Against are ready to ROCK!

[Album The Sufferer and the Witness is out now through Universal Music Australia]

AIDEN www.aiden.org

These post-hardcore rockers certainly know how to put on a good show. Aurally and aesthetically, they have all bases covered. After their first Australian tour last December, Aiden left the country as heroes, leaving a host of rave reviews trailing in their wake. Blunt Magazine was thrilled with their live show. “They ripped out an hour of unrelentless rock, giving nobody the chance to stop for a breather… they perform as though this is the last show they’ll ever play.”

Taking out the “Best International Newcomer” award at the 2006 Kerrang! Awards and rocking out on the North American RTOC tour earlier this year, Aiden are certainly a band to watch. They’ll be well-seasoned for the Australian and New Zealand leg of RTOC in 2007, so make sure you check them out!

[Album Nightmare Anatomy is out now through Victory/ Stomp]

ESCAPE THE FATE www.escapethefate.com

One of the most talked about bands on the bill, Escape The Fate had established an enormous following in Australia and New Zealand before they’d even released their debut album – Dying Is Your Latest Fashion. These Las Vegas-natives have experienced a fast rise through the rock ranks, scoring a user rating of 4.98 out of 5 on Smartpunk.com, stamping them with the approval of music fans the world over.

Moving from strength to strength in 2007, this year has already seen Escape The Fate on tour with The Matches, I Am Ghost and Bullet For My Valentine. Intense, gripping and manic, there’s no doubt that Escape The Fate will be bringing the rock back to the RTOC stage later this year!

[Album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion is out now from Epitaph/ Shock]

THE BLED www.thebledsite.com
If audience participation is your thing, then The Bled will be your band! This talented quintet will turn RTOC stages across Australia and New Zealand upside down with their high-octane live shows and thrilling onstage antics.

Last November, whilst on tour in Australia, The Bled impressed all by stepping up from support band to headline act when the lead band’s singer lost his voice. For The Bled, the transition was seamless.

With a new album in the works, and a live show as accomplished as The Bled’s, this band will blow you away in October. Expect the unexpected!

[Album Pass The Flask re-issue is out now through Vagrant]

GALLOWS www.gallowsrocknroll.com
Invited to join the Vans Warped Tour in 2007, Gallows are fast becoming an integral punk band for the generation of today. Their unpredictability and pure hardcore fury are just two of the ingredients that will send crowds wild at RTOC this year.

Drowned in Sound awarded Gallows’ debut album a 9/10, lavishing it with praise. “Orchestra of Wolves is an old-school punk rock-fuelled hardcore monstrosity that is topped off quite fantastically by Frank Carter’s unholy story-telling racket. Plus it’s all quite unmistakeably British.”

Kerrang! touted Gallows as “the world’s most exciting new band” and they may just be the surprise packet of the Rockstar™ Taste Of Chaos Tour in 2007.

[New album out shortly through Warner Music Australia]

I'm so stoked! Two of my favourite bands finally coming to NZ. Sucks that it's in Auckland once again though. Why does no-one ever come to Wellington? We need a better venue here. I'm still planning on going thoughVery Happy
