The Shins announce two NZ shows
Posted: Fri Jun 1, 2007 4:51 pm
Natalie Portman's favourite band, indie-rock heroes The Shins, have announced two New Zealand shows.

The Portland, Oregan band will play two New Zealand shows in July and August, one each in Auckland and Christchurch.

The Shins hit it big after Portman's character in the film Garden State told Zach Braff the band would "change your life".

The band has released three albums, including this year's highly acclaimed Wincing the Night Away.

The Shins play The Civic in Christchurch on July 31 and Auckland's Powerstation on August 1.

Ryan McPhun and The Ruby Suns will support both shows.

Tickets are available through Ticketek.co.nz from June 8.
