The Cure announce one-off NZ show

Alternative British rock act The Cure are returning to New Zealand for a one-off show in Auckland.

Thanks to a petition organised by New Plymouth fans Gordon Pitcairn and Alastair Ross, The Cure have announced a performance at Auckland's Vector Arena on August 14.

The petition was signed by more than 3000 people, and caught the attention of the band's front man, Robert Smith.

The Cure will perform a three-hour show spanning their entire 30-year career.

Tickets go on sale on July 9 through Ticketmaster.
