Arch Hill Recordings is pleased to announce the “The Far Now” acoustic tour with David Kilgour playing solo, along with The White Swan Black Swan duo.

The tour will be a rare occasion to get intimate with songs from David’s “The Far Now” album, along with a few other favorites as well. It will also be the perfect chance to see David before he heads off on an extensive US tour, where his album is being released by prestigious US label Merge Records (Arcade Fire, Spoon, M.Ward and more)...the dates for this tour will be announced very soon. David Kilgour is one of New Zealand’s most respected songwriters (and guitarists) particularly in the USA, where both his solo work and that of his band the Clean (who toured New Zealand this year and celebrated their 25th anniversary) is widely revered and considered highly influential. Locally, David Kilour’s last album “The Far Now” received five stars in both the New Zealand Herald and the Dominion Post, and the NZ Listener recently voted the the Clean New Zealand’s Greatest Band EVER!

The White Swan Black Swan duo is Sonya Waters and Ben Howe, formerly of Fang and other bands. They have recently completed a ‘double mini album’ (one side White Swan, the other Black Swan) which is currently being mixed in the US with Mark Nevers (David Kilgour, Calexico, Lambchop and others)...this tour will be a good chance to become familiar with their haunting stripped back acoustic and piano songs.
