Rhythm and Vines

31st Dec 2007
Rhythm & Vines is the ultimate New Year's music festival. Set in the stunning vineyard of Waiohika Estate, in the first city in the world to see the sun, Gisborne, New Zealand. This year RV is celebrating it's 5th year anniversary, with 4 stages, over 30 acts, mind blowing pyrotechnics, ambient sacred lake, flushing toilets and even a 50 metre waterslide! Once again it promises to be the only destination to see the first light for 2008.

Mercury Rising

Please note: Mercury Rising has now been cancelled

31st Dec 2007
The inaugural Mercury Rising brings you a stellar cast of some of New Zealand's finest talent who will come together on one show for the first time. Heading the bill after a solid couple of years of touring both locally and internationally are FAT FREDDY'S DROP so aptly heralded as New Zealand midnight marauders and purveyors of hi-tek soul. The 7 piece dub/reggae kings will be joined on their nu Pacific soul train by NESIAN MYSTIC and then a mix for many with CONCORD DAWN, TAHUNA BREAKS, PNC with P MONEY, JAKOB and THE MANAGERS. Hosting the night and providing his unique blend of MC talent is MC SLAVE.

Big Day Out

18th Jan 2008
Following 2007's sell-out in Auckland, the 2008 Big Day Out promises to be one of the best music festivals we've ever seen, as well as one of the biggest. Reunited political rockers Rage Against The Machine return to the stage they graced eleven years ago, where they'll joined by more legends from the alternative music universe including Icelandic genius Bjork, and Arcade Fire, the biggest indie rock act in the world, alongside the UK's grime hip-hop sensation Dizzee Rascal, American electro-racketeers LCD Sound System, local heroes Shihad, Phoenix Foundation, Katchafire and many more to be announced.
