Hook up with FLOWZ dropping tunes from his vinyl album sampler live in the fale, Sandwiches on the last weekend of 2007.

FLOWZ, the MC with a hustlers’ spirit from Lyall Bay, will be joined on stage by his band, The USOS, featuring Des on drums, AD T on guitar, Sefo Savalii on bass guitar and bro Lafaele Savalii on keys.

FLOWZ says “I stick to the roots of hip hop, keep the underground raw and the live band enable me to cross over and be a lot more than the rapper from the neighborhood, enable me to go places I couldn’t go before”

In the past, FLOWZ has jammed with bands such as Police Lucifer (P-Digsss band) and ILL Phonics. He says while he remains a DJ and MC dude, performing with a live band adds more of a rock element.

“Just like Run DMC used to do, its more rock orientated, phatter, with smooth beats and soul elements in there. The band makes it sound more in yer face and that definitely makes me wanna shift up a gear in terms of my show”.

Keeping up hip hop tradition, FLOWZ will host a rotate of guest MCs and vocalists on the mic. Notables include Tommy Graff, Joe Dukie and Jonny Chong Nee at FLOWZ last gig, where the line up of MCs was four rows deep, to help celebrate his debut on vinyl.

The 12” vinyl album sampler, a six-pack of street anthems, has officially landed in store, and is a taste of FLOWZ upcoming debut solo album, Hip Hop In The Heart of The City, dropping February 2008.
