Another two amazing concerts from the Auckland Youth Choir are being performed.

With the coming of spring, Auckland Youth Choir turns to the eternal theme of love
and its meanings, as expressed in the musical canon.

Looking at the way the old masters have treated the theme of love, we have
discovered it in sacred and secular settings which allow us to explore the
dualism of the Sacred and the Profane.

The theme is not new - like Yin and Yang, one does not and cannot exist without the other.

This poses the inevitable question – is love sacred or profane? How does

love exist in these dimensions?

We look to solve this dilemma with music ranging from Renaissance
to 20th Century Jazz. Come along and help us as we look for the right answers.
