FLYING SCRIBBLE - NEW ZEALAND SINGLE TOUR ANNOUNCED!!!

Melbourne's favorite broke-jazz, spook-pop lady-two-piece Flying Scribble announce their very first internation tour to NEW ZEALAND in August 2009 to celebrate their brand new single 'Animation In My Head' from their forthcoming debut album 'We're A Chameleon' mixed by Cornel Wilczek aka ('Qua'). http://www.myspace.com/flyingscribble

Flying Scribble are no debutant. Gray and Louise have been crafting their sound since 2004 and playing live since 2006 releasing a low-fi handmade demo late 2006. Part spacey, part kraut/prog, truly esoteric, these two care not for genres or what has gone, they create directly from their imagination.

This debut single sees Flying Scribble in their genre-breaking finest with the single 'Animation In My Head' with fuzzed out keys, pulsing bass lines, spooky soul harmonies and frenetic precision drumming.

MORE ABOUT F.S.

Flying Scribble (Melbourne) are a lady two piece whose broke/jazz beats and spook/pop melodies fit together like a buckle. Comprising acoustic and electronic drums, analogue organ, midi keys, accordion and voice they make pop music that no one seems able to describe.

They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Camera Obscura (scotland), Qua, Mountains in the Sky, Batchelorette (NZ), Alex and the Ramps, Ned Collette and The Motifs. After 12 months recording and mixing their debut full-length release, Flying Scribble boldly reenter this world with a set of sonic souvenirs taken directly from their strange land of sounds. This NZ tour marks the international release of Flying Scribble's single: Animation In My Head.

Drama, image, costume, the voice all rolled together with organ and drums, FS take you on a fun and furious journey into the hearts and minds of two great friends who create music even they have a hard time explaining. They never think they sound like anyone else much and they mostly get terribly excited about how their music does funny things to their brains, feets, senses and hearts.
