Refusing to conform to a genre, Melbourne, Australia’s Five Star Prison Cell is intent on forging its own path, fusing a wide range of styles to create bold, cutting edge, heavy music.

Since debuting in 2005 FSPC has turned heads with their ability to switch time, pace, genre, and style with unnerving speed. Their fresh, unique sound coupled with their intense live shows has led to a loyal and ever-growing following.

In 2009, Five Star Prison Cell began to write their third album while continuing to perform live to Australian and New Zealand audiences. An extensive New Zealand tour has been scheduled for late in the year, along with a slot on the 2009 “Summer Rage Festival” roster. The band will perform at the First Annual Australian Metal Awards, and has also been named as a finalist for three of the award categories including the award for “Best Live Band” and “Best Film Clip”.
