James Hunter Announces the New Single 'Suburban Dystopia'

25 June 2021 - 0 Comments

James Hunter is thrilled to announce the release of his newest single, Suburban Dystopia, available everywhere on 25/06/21.

Hot off his sophomore EP, You back in January, Suburban Dystopia is a turn musically for James, exploring a much darker, eerier sound than we have heard from the alt-folk artist. The song is an internal reflection that confronts the uncomfortable thoughts we try to ignore in society, and how we all fear the thought of being lost, and without a sense of meaning or a purpose for existing.

James however, wants the listener to interpret the song for themselves, hoping they can draw their own connection to the work, similarly to himself.

Just last month, James performed his first headlining show of the year at Moon in Wellington, where he performed to over 100 music goers, supported by betty and LOST BiRD. Following the show's success, James has announced an Auckland show, supported by LiamNT and Livv. This will be taking place at Cassette Nine on July 3rd.
