Back by popular demand to deliver a warm dose of aural sunshine, cosmic conduits Babe Rainbow return to Aotearoa following their dazzling 2021 album, Changing Colours.
Visiting three special spots this spring:
Thursday September 16 - MONO @ Ngaio Marsh Theatre, Christchurch (Free Show)
Saturday 18 September - Paisley Stage, Napier
Sunday 19 September - Parrotdog Bar, Wellington
The band will also be performing a set at The Other's Way Festival on Friday September 17th. Having previously delighted audiences on their sold out 2019 New Zealand Tour with festival slots at Tora Bombora, Soundsplash, and Nest Fest, Babe Rainbow’s sound is vividly respectful of the past whilst emphatically living in the present; a collection of sounds and sentiments from a place between yesterday and tomorrow.
Gently psychedelic and lightly jammy, simmering on mechanised samba rhythms and stratospheric flute with a Gainsbourg swagger. At their laconic, luminous peak, curiously exploring their place in sonic space while permaculturally rooted here on Planet Earth, to drifting, dazzling effect.
Tickets on sale 9am, Friday June 25th from Banished Music
