Diver Records are thrilled to announce the release of the debut single from Louis TM, Mercedes Car, available everywhere on Friday 20 August 2021.
Mercedes Car is the A-side of a 2-track release, due for release on limited edition 7" vinyl. With his soulful vocals and inspired take on the modern soul resurgence and R&B, Louis TM emanates sounds from another time while often challenging that notion with unexpected nods from hip-hop and contemporary pop. Music video is also coming soon.
For the best part of the last 10 years you may have seen Louis backing other artists or sessions as a pianist/keyboardist, but he has now struck out on his own in 2021 with his first ever solo release. Recorded in Wellington, with mixing from Toby Lloyd at Tiny Triumph and mastering by JJ Golden who has mastered the likes of Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley in Ventura, CA. Louis has shows a Meow, Wellington and Ponsonby Social Club, Auckland for the release with his full live band.
