After dominating their hometown New Zealand crowds on mainstages festivals including Rhythm & Vines, Bay Dreams, Northern Bass, Soundsplash, and many more, New Zealand electronic acts SACHI and close friend Montell2099 have been announced as the first-ever New Zealand artists to play Belgium’s Tomorrowland - the most prestigious electronic music festival in the world.
A monumental bucket list accomplishment for any producer / DJ in the electronic realm, Tomorrowland saw 400,000 attendees in 2019 from over 200 countries and is finally ready to make a long-awaited comeback after COVID-19 postponements since 2020. Making history as Aotearoa’s first two acts to grace the stacked lineup of over 700 artists across two weekends, alongside renowned international acts including Alesso, Martin Garrix, Netsky, Diplo, Marshmello, and many more, SACHI and Montell2099 are making history for the New Zealand electronic scene and putting Aotearoa on the map as two unmissable world-class talents.
Hot on the heels of their December EP Breakfast With Ella, electronic-pop duo SACHI are set to bring their dynamic live show to its biggest heights yet at Tomorrowland, injecting their exhilarating EDM with live band elements between playing bass, drums, keys, and vocals. Forming a non-traditional electronic experience that favours the unexpected, the duo are no strangers to the live stage.
Originally scheduled to play the festival back in 2020, and cancelled due to COVID, Montell2099 will finally make his Tomorrowland debut unveiling his mind-bending, surreal visual show production in collaboration with lighting and stage design wizards Human Person (Travis Scott, Drake, Post Malone), immersing viewers in a hypnotising future bass forcefield.
