Offering up a 70's soul-groove vibe, deep, smooth vocals and spoken word by Jason Slade, the lead vocal is answered by the rich earthy solo of Debbie Toko-Stevens, supported by the layered harmonies of Chrissy Diamond. Layered with acoustic guitar that creates a warm soulful blend, the single highlights the magic of a bass groove that gets your head nodding.
Find My Way is about finding a way out of whatever is hindering progress or growth, such as depression, PTSD, self doubt, laziness, etc,” says Jason Slade, lyricist.
“Basically it's about finding out why you're stuck, and figuring out what caused it by addressing it - accepting it - releasing it - and moving on.”
The track was produced and co-written by Frank Marinthe, Chrissy Diamond, Debbie Toko-Stevens, Jason Slade and Mitch French.
“It was challenging and fun discovering new ways of creating other than my normal style of writing and singing”, says Jason Slade - the lead vocalist on this track.
Released in conjunction with the single, is the video for Find My Way. The video follows the life of a struggling busker and portrays his emotional journey of being lost and hopeless to eventually finding value and appreciation, something we all seek for.
