This November, Lawrence Arabia is set to release The Developed World, a song about the cognitive dissonance of living amid relative privilege in a world that seems to be going to hell.
In mindful celebration of this freedom, Lawrence and his band are touring this part of the developed world this December, specifically the parts whose scheduled Chant Darling shows were cancelled earlier this year due to the Covid pandemic, plus a visit to his home ground, The 03, with his tail between his legs.
Lawrence Arabiais the pseudonym of Christchurch, New Zealand-born singer-songwriter James Milne. Since the release of his first album in 2006, he has become one of the pre-eminent figures of New Zealand’s musical landscape, releasing five critically acclaimed and garlanded solo albums alongside a variety of diverse collaborative work.
Audiences can expect to hear songs from Lawrence Arabia’s extensive catalogue, as well as being treated to brand new songs.
