It’s James Bond Day and what better way to celebrate the world’s most famous spy than to announce a thrilling symphonic event The Music Is Bond…at Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa, Aotea Centre, next month.
Featuring a superb cast of soloists Jackie Clarke, Nathan King (Zed), Caitlin Smith and Lavina Williams, The Music Is Bond… showcases the unforgettable songs and iconic music from over 60 years of music from the James Bond films.
This prestigious event on Saturday, 5 November will also feature the magnificent sound of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and will be conducted by celebrated entertainer Tim Beveridge.
Bond themes have been performed by some of the greatest pop artists of their generation. Beginning with the unmistakable sound of Shirley Bassey, and including Adele, Tom Jones, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Sheena Easton, and Duran Duran.
Opening with the spectacular Bond Theme, the performance includes classics such as Skyfall, Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, From Russia With Love, Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only, A View to a Kill, The Spy Who Loved Me and many more.
