NYE ’22 boasts a one night only packed line-up of talented bands and renowned DJ’s set to deliver an energy-infused live experience that will transform the entire venue into one massive dance party.

KATCHAFIRE:

Katchafire have crafted a universal vibe with their sound built on foundations of classic roots reggae, R’n’B, funk and modern dancehall fused with slinky pop, cool grooves and uplifting vibes. The all-Maori band bring their pure classic sound to music lovers worldwide delivering one of the most authentic Reggae shows around today with popularity and critical acclaim seeing them on line-ups with just about every reggae artist worldwide. With six successful albums, platinum sales, hit singles, and a massive fanbase selling out shows around the world, 2022 sees Katchafire celebrating 25 years of existence. See them enter into their 26th at NYE ’22 and rest assured - there is no stopping the ‘Fire!

DILLASTRATE:

Born from the late legend Aaron Tokona’s AHoriBuzz, musical heavyweights Henare ‘H’ Kaa and Tim Driver combine to produce a finely-tuned and explosive live experience. Dillastrate's stage show can transform entire venue crowds from stationary to dancing- their-asses-off in a matter of seconds, delivering the deeply memorable high energy live performances they are renowned for.

RUBI DU:

Aotearoa’s undisputed maven of dancehall, reggae, and hip-hop, Rubi Du is a world class MC making waves both here and over the water, having shared the stage with the likes of Fat Freddy’s Drop, Che Fu and Shapeshifter. Rubi brings new life with her vibrant flow and assertive toasts, fast becoming a total scene-stealer with her electrifying live performances that have cut dance floors and radio waves alike with their heavy basslines and melodic vocals.

SUNSHINE SOUND SYSTEM:

Always free-styling, hosting and toasting like no other, Sunshine Sound System will be on board, delivering the heavy-weight selections on the ones and twos!

LOGG CABIN:

As well as providing the live lyrical fire and renowned stage-warming skills the world over for Fat Freddy’s Drop, MC Slave aka Logg Cabin needs little introduction. A celebrated hype man/tour MC, DJ / Selector and long-time host of 95bFM’s Sunday afternoon show The Loggcabin, Slave is never far from a mic or turntable. Most weekends you’ll find him raising the roof and stirring the dancefloor around Auckland or beyond. With an unsurpassed reputation for bringing the fire to the party, The Loggcabin is now a veritable institution, and Slave keeps that fire burning bright.

DJ ROSE ALICE:

Rose Alice has been flourishing on both the underground and over-ground of the Aotearoa music scene for the best part of two decades, playing her soulful blend of funk, disco, house, afro rhythms and electronica. From Coromandel Bush parties, festivals and vibe setting, Rose Alice is an in-demand working DJ on the Auckland Bar and Club scene, earning herself a reputation as an energetic DJ and joyous performer.

Nestled in the Coromandel Peninsula, the Coroglen Tavern resides in one of our most beautiful summer holiday locales.
