Tāmaki Makaurau's electro-pop whiz kids Brother Sister channel their passion for the sound and style of 80's throwback culture with their latest single, Space, an uplifting blend of electro-driven synth pop, wrapped in iridescent wrapping paper and drop-kicked into the party. A band of siblings, Brother Sister are an energetic trio that have shared the womb, and now the stage; featuring Dave Thomson (synth & lead vocals), Taz Thomson (bass and lead vocals) and Ben Thomson (drums).
Space is a synth-driven celebration, giving voice to all the introverts who might be struggling in this noisy, chaotic world, with an official video directed by Dave Thompson. The video pulls inspiration from Daft Punk's Da Funk, showing an introverted alien seeking to find his space by dancing down the main street of Auckland wearing headphones, breaking up with his girlfriend, and cruising in a 1980's Jag, before being picked up by a spaceship and finally returning home.
To celebrate the release of their single, Brother Sister will be performing at The Retro Event; an 80's themed market expo at the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium on the 3rd of December.
