Gig & Concert News - United We Dance presents LF System debut NZ tour

United We Dance presents LF System debut NZ tour

13 December 2022 - 0 Comments

British producer/DJs LF System, the duo behind 2022’s infectious club hit Afraid To Feel, today announce their debut Australia and New Zealand tour.

Traversing both countries in February and March 2023, the emerging first-duo of dance music will kick things off in Melbourne on Friday February 17 and Sydney’s infamous Lost Sundays on February 18, before hopping the ditch to NZ for three university shows and several club dates in Auckland and Queenstown. LF System will then return to Australia for two final club shows in Adelaide and Brisbane.

Tickets go on sale 10am Friday December 16 from livenation.com.au & livenation.co.nz.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets first in an exclusive earlybird presale beginning 12pm Thursday December 15 and running until 9am Friday December 16. Sign up for access at livenation.com.au & livenation.co.nz.

LF System’s Afraid To Feel is set to be the sound of summer. A blend of modernist disco vibes, towering soul vocals and classic piano-house keys, the track was the #1 most Shazam’d track in Australia for 8 consecutive weeks, spent 3 weeks at #1 in the ARIA Top 50 Club Chart, and has spent 17-weeks so far in the overall ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart, peaking at #19. It has become a staple of Spotify playlists with 216 million streams and counting, and been supported by a massive number of radio stations across Australasia and the world.

LF System say, “We’re absolutely buzzing to be escaping the Scottish Winter and heading down under to play in Australia and New Zealand in February. We’ll be bringing the LF energy and road testing some new tunes, see you in amongst it!”

Consisting of Conor Larkman and Sean Finnigan, LF System met through playing sets together in their home town of Edinburgh, initially sharing disco edits on SoundCloud before dropping their own tracks on the platform. One of those tracks was their first single Dancing Cliché, which picked up early club support from the likes of Ewan McVicar, Danny Howard and TSHA. They’ve since completed one of 2022’s most viewed Boiler Room sets, embarked on shows around the world and had Afraid To Feel crowned BBC Radio 1’s dance track of the year. The big moments just keep on coming for LF System.
