Considered by many both here and overseas as one of the most exciting New Zealand bands around right now, Guardian Singles began as a sporadic get-together of musically accomplished friends.
The touring band is Thom Burton (SoccerPractise / Wilberforces / Moppy), Durham Fenwick (Dimmer / Erny Belle / Green Grove), Fiona Campbell (Vivian Girls / Chain and the Gang / The Coolies)
and Brent Zmrhal (Mickey / Slushy / Party Bat (US); Annual Leaf / Luxury (AUS) ).
"When Guardian Singles took the stage at Virtual Gonerfest
my jaw dropped from the first note... Within 7 minutes I crashed their Bandcamp trying to buy a record...If this record had come out in 1981 we would be talking about it like a post-punk classic." - Paula Abdul Jabar, Reddit

Leading into the Feed Me to the Doves tour, Guardian Singles release their latest single Pit Viper this Friday June 30th, with a video coming soon.
As always with this band, the video will be well worth keeping an eye out for.
"Pit Viper secured its place on my Top Tracks of 2023 list upon first listen. Like a jangle-pop band covering a hardcore number, or vice versa, this one hits a sweet spot of both tunefulness and power, no mean feat." – Glenn, A Pessimist Is Never Disappointed (US)
