Following a hard 18 months of gigging around Tāmaki Makaurau, Grym Rhymney have unleashed their long anticipated EP This Is What Your Hands Were Made For.
With an eclectic mix of all things heavy, Grym Rhymney defy pigeonholing into any one subgenre, pulling influences from all over the spectrum of extreme music from the last two decades. The EP is the long anticipated follow-up to 2020’s The Shadows We Cast Years Ago’, following a pandemic and multiple line-up changes the final product is here.
With the 2021 addition of drummer Izak Kennedy (Short Chain, Cut Shapez) and standalone vocalist Hamish Clark this year (Stag’s Yarrow, Hthvsth), Grym Rhymney have built a reputation as a local powerhouse in the metal scene and are not to be missed.
This Is What Your Hands Were Made For is out now via Swamp Kult Records.
