Auckland singer-songwriter Heidi Simpson has dropped her debut solo single What’s On TV? Written, recorded and produced with Hugo Chan, the song is a catchy breezy ear-worm that captures the feel of much of Heidi’s solo material: fun, clever pop with a dash of indie vibes. She is also working on tracks with PJ Shepherd ("Tommy Banks") and Harry Charles.
Heidi was previously in the pop duo Laiika, releasing 3 singles 2020-2021 and an EP in 2022.
Following her debut single What’s On TV? release last Friday, Heidi Simpson and band will play with friends There’s A Tuesday for two dates this weekend:
Friday September 22 - Yot Club, RAGLAN
with There’s A Tuesday
Saturday September 23 – Galatos, AUCKLAND
with There’s A Tuesday and The Dawns
Friday, October 20 - Big Fan, AUCKLAND
with Princess Chelsea
The Heidi Simpson live band currently includes Leo Bond from PARK RD, George Barney Roberts and Harry Ingram (Luca George) on drums.
