Available on all major music platforms today, Douse Another Care combines the distinct sound of high-energy melodic punk rockers Broke.
The five-track EP pulls together recently released singles; Through Her Eyes, Urgency and Need with the added bonus of new tracks Loser and Save You From You which add a new dimension and heavier groove.
Independently recorded by Broke, mixed and mastered by Scott Seabright Production, Douse Another Care unleashes fresh alternative songs that aren’t your typical punk-pop genre.
New track Loser invokes a train of thought about not giving a care about the judgments of ‘cool’ people who stand and watch, rather than put themselves out there for fear of doing or saying something that the mob don’t see as ‘cool’.
Built around the lead-in riff, the track evolves into an explosive high-tempo collection of sonic waves, punching doubles and powerful, provocative melodies.
Need -
"A well-structured song that doesn't let up in the energy stakes, and has a strong sense of melody with a superbly complementary and danceable rhythm. There are some fantastic vocal harmonies, suitably angry yet warmly delicious guitar tones, poundingly fat bass, and monstrous drums- all the elements for a good time …I'm strongly reminded of The Living End." - Peter Malthus, Muzic.net.nz
Through Her Eyes
"…Are Broke in that same melodic punk mould? (as the Rabble) The short answer to that is “hell, yeah”, this is a blast from beginning to end. It comes over as a cross between some of the better American punk with loads of British realism to create something which is fiery, fast, and a load of fun." - Kev Rowland, Muzic.net.nz
Douse Another Care is the perfect addition to your summer playlists with a solid mix of punk rock anthems.
Broke will be performing at the NZ Tattoo and Arts Festival, New Plymouth Saturday 25th November along with locals, Gatekeepers, Eden Ivory + Bulletbelt and Summer Thieves https://nztattooart.com/entertainment/
