Future Future, a FREE music festival spanning a 3km stretch of the central-west bike paths is set to take place next weekend, on Saturday 3rd February 2024, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
With four stages of music, the festival features a lineup including King Kapisi, Yoko-Zuna, Julia Deans, Rei, Anna Coddington, Lips, Fathe and the Sweetos, Phoebe Rings, FABLE, Pony Baby, Amandamania, Wattsson, Chikaa and Rewind Fields.
Families are also well catered for with a stage of Aotearoa’s finest whānau entertainers, face painting and activities to keep little hands and minds busy. Headed up by national treasure Suzy Cato, the whānau stage includes performances by Music with Michal, Claudia Robin Gunn, Captain Festus McBoyle, Dooverberry Dave, Little Lips, Empire Dance Studio and a bFM Dance Party with Kid’s Show hosts Lee and Finn.
Alongside the finest musical acts and DJs, Tāmaki Makaurau has to offer, Future Future also features a kai village to satisfy culinary cravings, a market of second-hand, sustainable and hand-made goods thanks to Central Flea, and free workshops, including a drumming workshop and second-hand tie-dye t-shirt station. Valet bike parking is available free on-site.
The inaugural Future Future festival celebrates arts and culture with sustainability at its heart. Shining a light on our shared paths, Future Future reminds us of the joys of getting around by bike.
Future Future is presented by Interesting Things, and is free to attend thanks to our partners Auckland Transport and the Auckland Council Climate Grant.
