Menzies, the gripping new four-piece bring scores of talent and experience, featuring front-man Chris Brown (Friendlies), Miles Sutton (Welcomer, Prizegiving), Doug Kelly (Girl Boss), Nikita Piper (Androgynous Lemon, Friendlies). The track and EP both mixed by Oliver Devlin (Hans Pucket), and mastered by Vivek Gabriel, Gabriel Audio.

Spaghetti Land features crunchy guitars, unsettling pauses, and a chorus you find yourself singing along to a day later. “It’s Mee Goreng again in Spaghetti Land!”. “Spaghetti Land is a place we’ve all been to that we’re not proud of.. Where we’re not at our best” says lead singer Chris Brown of the new single.

The music video gives a joyous hat-tip to Crash Bandicoot, seeing the band members run for their lives away from a human-sized boulder. Directed by Chris Brown and technical support by Ryan Alexander Lloyd, it juggles humour, fun and anxiety in equal measure. Bright colours, a terrifying boulder, there can only be one winner - who will it be? “It was an outrageous and fun time making the video which comes through in the final product”, says Brown.

Menzies’ highly anticipated debut EP Spaghetti Land comes out Friday 5th July, accompanied by a North Island tour. Heralded by the likes of MJ Lenderman, the four-piece have gained a name for their live performances.
