Raging Flowers announces her first headline gig supported by Bartertown and These Former Things

02 July 2024 - 0 Comments

The Chinese-Kiwi singer-songwriter, Raging Flowers, is thrilled to announce her first headline gig which brings you 3 exciting new acts from Tāmaki Makaurau! This show is held at the iconic venue, Wine Cellar, on Thursday, 18 July 2024.

The passion and energy of these 3 new acts are not to be missed!

Raging Flowers is a solo artist, who's on a mission to make a difference in mental health through music. She is an unusual musician. Although she's always loved music, she pursued a career in Tech. She excelled as a Software Engineer in the audio, AI and the Blockchain industries, until she got burnt out and took a career break where she discovered her callings. She's a strong woman although she looks small and sweet. Her other background in professional kickboxing gives her the strength for her hilarious honesty which can be found in her lyrics. Her music is about exploring and befriending emotions. She describes her music as self-help indie-pop with hints of folk punk. On this evening, Raging Flowers is bringing you a collection of her unreleased songs, as well as the released songs from her debut EP, which have been well-received by radio stations and the music licensing industry.

Bartertown is a new act out of Tāmaki Makaurau, created by David Rowe. You'll hear the power of rock with the lyrics and distinctive voice of the singer-songwriter - all inspired by the places, people and sounds of New Zealand.

These Former Things is an indie rock band with folk and roots vibes hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau's northwest. The band consists of Celeste, Dan, and Roger.

This will be an evening of openness, vulnerability, as well as strength and hope. Come and support local artists!
