Tairāwhiti/Gisborne-based guitarist Ash Sales is excited to announce his Single Release Tour, celebrating the launch of his debut single Remus, which is dropping today, October 18, 2024. The tour kicks off in his hometown on Saturday, October 19, just one day after the single's release.

In addition to the tour, Ash is thrilled to announce his debut album, Reflections, set for release in early January 2025. The album will feature two additional singles — Reflections and Entropy — dropping in November, each accompanied by visually engaging music videos to enhance the listening experience.

Ash’s music blends acoustic guitar with pedals, effects, and loops, creating soundscapes and melodies that defy traditional genres. His influences range from grunge and rock to pop, dub, and world music, and nature sounds, all tuned to 432Hz, the frequency of nature. "My music is made on an acoustic guitar with pedals and effects, creating a fusion of soundscapes, epic melodies, and vibrant psychedelic trance beats," says Ash. "It’s designed to move you emotionally and physically — inviting both intense dance and profound introspection.".

Ash picked up the guitar at 13 and quickly turned his passion into a career, performing professionally straight out of high school on cruise ships, and at weddings and corporate events. In 2023, he began focusing on his own music, inspired by a creative surge that came at a pivotal time in his life..

Looking ahead, Ash plans to perform at festivals and release more original music in 2024. "I’m committed to writing and performing pieces that come from my innermost self," he shares. "I want to create music that resonates as deeply with others as it does with me." With Reflections on the horizon, Ash is ready to make his mark with a sound that’s all his own.
