The Phil Edwards Band will kick off a great summer season with three shows celebrating the release of their debut single ‘Crash’.
‘Crash’ is the first single from the band’s forthcoming debut album, Slow Borders. The soulful summery vibe of this track is an ideal introduction to the Phil Edwards Band, and has resulted in some great radio play across the networks since release.
The Band will play Auckland’s Juice Bar on Friday November 19th, The Blacksmiths Bar in Whitianga on Saturday November 20th and at the Napier City Showcase on November 28th.
The Phil Edwards Band are Phil Edwards (vocals, guitar), Ryan Wilson (drums), Tom Charleson (guitar, vocals), Adrian Ashdown (bass) and James Townend (harp, percussion, vocals).
Slow Borders is due for release in February 2011, and was mixed in New York by Dave O’Donnell (James Taylor, John Mayer, Eric Clapton), and mastered at Stirling Sound, New York, by Ryan Smith (Beyonce).
The video clip to ‘Crash’ (directed by Ivan Slavov and Greg Buckley) was filmed whilst the band were in Melbourne earlier this year, performing at the Melbourne Moomba Waterfest.
