Newmarket Music are proud to announce that US based, alt-country artist Hayward Williams will be touring New Zealand in April, 2011.
Following the successful release of 'Cotton Bell' in 2010 and having only just completed his Australian tour , Hayward will be moving on to charm New Zealand audiences for the first time this April, with an astounding 13 shows across the country, kicking off at the Geraldine Cinema, Thursday March 31st.
Hayward's live shows have been described as having "...everything you could hope for... message, melody and hooks" - Vital Source, and feature his facile guitar and thoughtful, distinctive tenor- imagine the honey side of Ryan Adams, Jay Farrar's earthy grit and the playfulness of Sam Cooke. Hayward's songs, built on a foundation of folk, blues and soul, posses the raw intensity common to these forms, tempered by his own easy self-possession and wry charm.
