Gig & Concert News - Joint Tour Set To Be Twice As ‘Irie’

Joint Tour Set To Be Twice As ‘Irie’

11 May 2011 - 0 Comments

Sons of Zion (Akld) and Tomorrow People (Wgtn) will be on tour late June to promote music from their upcoming albums.

Sons of Zion and Tomorrow People are two bands who bear the flags for the next wave of reggae bands in New Zealand. Hailing from opposite ends of the North Island, each band brings their unique style of reggae music to the stage. While Sons of Zion create a fusion of reggae, R&B and rock, Tomorrow People’s strong ethnic roots bring about a sound they label as ‘sunshine reggae’. With both bands returning from successful individual campaigns in Australia, this tour marks the first time that they will ‘jam’ together. Their material is both original and entertaining and they will be exclusively previewing material from their upcoming albums. It is a show not to be missed!
