Four times World DMC champion DJ QBert is including Splore on a world tour of his new project The Bass Bizarre. In collaboration with the extraordinary beatboxer Reeps One, The Bass Bizarre live show will mix dubstep, hip hop and drum n bass with digital art. Ram Records’ legends Moving Fusion are behind the recording and producing of the debut Bass Bizarre EP which is due out January 12, 2012.
Much-lauded Scottish DJ/Producer Hudson Mohawke will feature at Splore in his first visit to New Zealand. The in-demand producer is at the vanguard of young British beat makers who are unafraid to flaunt their myriad musical influences with trailblazing new sounds.
Also added to the Splore 2012 music roster are Canada’s mash-up maestro, DJ Sticky Buds, Auckland’s popular latin dance group, Latinaotearoa and Scottish DJ Al Majik.

Splore is a home grown festival experience that is now firmly planted on the international entertainment circuit. As well as music performances Splore 2012 will include a curated visual arts programme, an eclectic line up of performing arts, a children’s zone and plenty of engaging projects that will delight and surprise the audience. Additionally, delicious food vendors, market stalls and fully licensed bars are also set up on site for audience convenience.
Staged at the stunning Tapapakanga Regional Park, the beach front location is sublime and is designed for the audience to camp in many forms on site for a fully immersive three days. Camping is included in the ticket price, unless you choose to upgrade to a reserved camping spot or campervan, or want a taste of glamorous camping (known as Glamping) for an additional price.
