At the gateway to Queenstown, nestled in the Kawarau Gorge in Central Otago is The Winehouse. A finalist in the 2008 "Cuisine Restaurant of the Year" awards this stunning venue places just as much emphasis on warm welcomes as it does hearty wholesome food that is in keeping with the homestead’s pastoral history, heritage and restoration. So what better setting could there be to enjoy some of the country’s top musicians over the coming summer months!
Over the course of six evenings The Winehouse is set to play host to eight of New Zealand music’s finest. Every second Sunday from January 15th until the 1st of April sees one or two of New Zealand’s best offering up a rare opportunity to see them in such a truly unique setting. Audiences will be treated to the very best with performances from Greg Johnson, Barry Saunders & Lindon Puffin, Jason Kerrison, Hollie Smith, Anika Moa and Julia Deans & Seth Haapu.
On offer will not only be a selection of New Zealand’s most sumptuous music but also a unique wine and food experience for both visitors & locals alike. Whether it is a wine matched platter in the sunny courtyard or a glass of wine and some nibbles by an open fire, something wholly memorable awaits you this summer at The Summer Playground Series.
