The rumours have been confirmed - Flight of the Conchords are touring the country.
Following the success of their self-titled HBO hit TV series, Flight of the Conchords have sold out tours across the United States and Europe performing at landmark venues like the Hollywood Bowl, New York’s Radio City Music Hall and London’s Wembley Arena. They’re finally bringing the live show back home with an extensive tour of New Zealand.
“It’s going to be great to play New Zealand again. I can’t wait to perform where people can understand our accents” said McKenzie.
“We’re looking forward to our very first New Zealand national tour. This will be by far the most convenient tour we've ever done." enthused Clement.
Their story is well known in New Zealand; TVNZ turned them down and HBO picked them up. Since then they’ve been nominated for Emmy Awards, they’ve won a Grammy Award, they’ve been on The Simpsons and they’ve met David Bowie (in a dream).
For New Zealand fans, the wait is over. This June is Business Time. Bret and Jemaine are going to Rock the Party. So leave your epileptic dogs at home cause there’ll be Too Many Dicks on a Dance Floor near you.

Due to unprecedented demand Flight of the Conchords are pleased to announce an additional Auckland show.
"We are extremely excited by the amount of interest shown in the Flight of the Conchords concert tickets across New Zealand. With the Auckland Town Hall show now sold out, (as are all the theatre concerts) we are proud to announce an arena show at Vector Arena, Auckland on Sunday 1st July.
This really is going to be a special homecoming and now with the Arena show there will be tickets for everyone!" said co-promoter Brent Eccles.
“It’s great news that we have a Kiwi act whose popularity is such that they look capable of selling out Vector Arena. There will be big screens and extra speakers covering the whole arena to ensure everyone in the room gets the full Conchords experience” added co-promoter Stuart Clumpas.
Joining the Conchords on their NZ tour is American stand-up comedian Arj Barker, Bret and Jemaine’s indifferent friend Dave Mohumbhai - the pawn shop guy who gives them advice on dealing with American women and culture in their HBO TV sitcom.
Tickets are available (limit two per person) by application in person at the Vector Arena box office* from 9am on Saturday 31st March, or from 1pm at ticketmaster.co.nz.
For Ticketmaster subscribers and Visa members there will also be a Visa pre-sale at 9am on Thursday 29th March and a Ticketmaster pre-sale at 9am on Friday 30th March - with all sales limited to four tickets per person.
