Fleur Jack and Katie Thompson met while both Kiwi songwriters were crowdfunding for their albums on the website Sellaband. The two have released their respective albums and after many messages between them, they’re taking their songs on the road to promote the releases and give you a taste of what they’ve been working on.
Katie Thompson’s sophomore album “Impossible” was funded by fans from all over the world. Produced in the UK at Modern World Studios by renowned British producer Greg Haver, the album is a treasure-trove of rare and beautiful songs which blend elements of pop, folk and country.
Katie recently opened for Elton John at his only New Zealand concert. Katie has just released the 3rd single "Cruel To Be Kind" with an accompanying music video which was shot late January in Oamaru, Oamarama Clay Cliffs, Twizel & Lake Pukaki. The video was made possible thanks to NZ On Air!
Fleur Jack is an Auckland based songwriter with a passion for the stage. She has performed her music and toured through Canada, The United States, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
After releasing three singles and videos, her debut solo album ‘Ghosts of Cimarron’ was released April 2012. The 2nd single “Olivia” spent weeks on the Kiwi Fm chart and hit #1 earlier this year.
