After the amazing response to dDub's ‘Send It On Back Tour’ in April, the band are ready to get back on the road! dDub will be bringing their renown live show this July to Invercargill, Wanaka and Queenstown as part of their ‘Winter Jaunt’ Tour. The leg of South Island shows features a live performance at the iconic Queenstown Winter Festival grand closing Mardigra Party on July 2nd.
Also on the calendar is a live performance at Players Entertainment Centre in Invercargill on June 29th and Mint Bar Wanaka on June 30th.
Derek Browne, lead singer of the band always looks forward to South Island shows and is excited to be playing at the Queenstown Winter Festival once again. ‘We love the South Island and have always buzzed about playing anywhere down South. The Winterfest is one gig we try make sure we never miss – Queenstown goes off! It’s a special place to be any time of year, but in winter time, there’s something magic about it down there…’
With a new addition to the horn section the band has its best ever line up. Fans across New Zealand who flocked to see the band were blown away by the live experience. Student Josh Ives who attended to Hamilton show said, “I have seen dDub many times and have both albums. Tonight they blew me away. This is the best concert I have ever been to!”
The band was stoked with the response of the tour recent and are already back in the studio working towards a much anticipated third album. With summer shows and festivals already streaming in it looks like it will be a busy summer for the dDub crew.
