Kora provides the soundtrack to your summer this December with a new album and tour dates.
Their unique brand of funk has seen them labeled 'mystery musical superheroes' thanks to their genre-busting musical fusion. Their celebratory live shows are the band's natural environment, an ideal way to hail the mothership with their 'alien funk'. With their highly anticipated new album "Light Years" set to drop on Oct 26, Kora's legion of fans will have even more songs to yell lustily back at them when they hit the summer circuit this December.
A fit as natural as our own beloved fush and chups, Kora will be joined by The Nudge. Both on the same bill is a stroke of genius. Together, tapping into a rich vein of roots music processed through a uniquely local filter. Wellington's The Nudge produce an equally hard to pigeon-hole noise - organ drenched and soul inflected, psychedelic , and bluesy. The perfect accompaniment to a balmy afternoon at the beach.
