The Gympie Music Muster 2013 To Hold Their First Ever New Zealand Showcase

16 April 2013 - 0 Comments

New Zealand Country Artists have had a stellar time of late across the Tasman with ex-pat  Kaylee Bell winning the prestigious Toyota Starmaker 2013, the first kiwi born to do so since Keith Urban. Ex pat Kiwi Camille and Stuie having picked up a Golden Guitar, 2012 New Zealand Gold Guitar Winner Kylie Price taking out both the CCMA Talent Comp and Aristocrat Entertainer of the Year at Tamworth 2013. The 2012 New Zealand female Country Artist of the Year Aly Cook having had 2 Australian Country Top 20 hits on the Country tracks Top 30 Chart in the last 12 months.. It seemed the perfect timing for Gympie to offer a New Zealand Showcase for the first time.

This will be a mix of Country Roots and Blues. Aly Cook will take to the stage in her new combination of "The Sou'westers" a Country Roots singer songwriter trio made up of Aly Cook with Tui Award winners Dean Hetherington from The Coalrangers, Liam Ryan( The Narcs/Midge Marsden Band).

Golden Guitar winners Camille & Stuie, Toyota Starmaker Kaylee Bell,Kylie Price. They will be joined by 3 times Tui award winner for NZ Country Album of the Year Tami Neilson  & Kiwi blues Man Billy TK Junior making up the combination that  promises to be a quality show of NZ Talent.

We hope that with Air New Zealand now offering direct flights to the Sunshine Coast, that kiwis music fans will make the trip to support their artists & see all the great acts on offer in what is one of the biggest Australian music festivals.  Gympie Music Muster is a yearly event held in the Amamoor State Forest, with 10 stages and 50,000 + people in attendance over 4 exciting days. In Its 32 year history the event has raised more than 14 million dollars toward Australian charities.
