Liam Finn announces headline Auckland show | New album out April 4th

Liam Finn returns to the Auckland live scene with a show at Galatos on Friday January 31st, with a five piece band which includes James Milne (Lawrence Arabia), Ceci Herbert, EJ Barnes, and Elroy Finn. Liam will debut brand new material from his forthcoming third album The Nihilist alongside older favourites from FOMO & I'll Be Lightning.

Liam will also play two shows in Wellington at Puppies, Tuesday Feb 4th & Wednesday Feb 5th.

The Nihilist, due out April 4th, was written & recorded near his new home in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, in a studio overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Featuring Liam on 67 different instruments, the album features collaborations with frequent band mates Eliza Jane Barnes (vocals), his brother Elroy (drums), and Jol Mulholland (bass) and the violin of Andrew Keoghan.

The first 60 fans who pre-order the album through JB HIFI online will receive a free ticket to the Auckland show as well as a signed copy of The Nihilist upon release on April 4th. Fans must be over 18 to enter, it is an R18 event. www.jbhifi.co.nz%20

Auckland/Christchurch two-piece Doprah will be the support act for THE show. Doprah are an exciting local talent on the rise. Their first self-released single Whatever You Want, which shot to the number one spot on the New Zealand Alternative Top 40 chart this May.
