We've been absolutely blown away by the response of the NZ fans to these shows, both look very very likely to sell out, so make sure you secure your ticket now to avoid any disappointment! We were also blown away by all the amazing kiwi bands that wanted to support BOY & BEAR, but are thrilled to announce both MALI MALI & ALEXANDER WILDWOOD will play Auckland & Wellington. What a line up! See you at the shows!

MALI MALI

Based in Auckland, NZ, Mali Mali is the name given to Ben Tolich and his songs.
In 2013 Mali Mali released his debut album Gather 'Round The Gooseclock recorded in Cairns by Mark Myers of the The Middle East. Tolich has continued to promote and tour the album in 2014 as well as writing songs for the next release. Live performances are usually solo or with the help of bandmates Guy Cowan and Mark Perkins.

ALEXANDER WILDWOOD

Alexander Wildwood was raised on the seas, sailing the world on a yacht as a boy to a soundtrack of Neil Young and The Beach Boys. And it is by the sea that his music was born. In a home studio only moments from the beach on New Zealand’s picturesque East Coast, the songwriter and producer (PleasePlease, Ezra Vine, Neesh) is creating a new noise inspired by his surroundings. His debut EP is due later this year.

BOY & BEAR

They’ve toured the world twice over since the release of their sophomore album Harlequin Dream, but this September will mark Boy & Bear’s first New Zealand dates in over two years.

Since the release of their second record, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and has reached Gold sales in Australia, Boy & Bear have spent most of their time on the road bringing their live set to audiences near and far. Now it's our turn!

The band have plenty of catching up to do with New Zealand audiences, with two full-length albums now under their belts and an internationally acclaimed live performance honed to perfection.

Boy & Bear have been eager to return to the country following their brief visit early last year, where Queenstown provided the stunning backdrop for the video of Harlequin Dream’s debut single Southern Sun, which the NZ Herald called "a guitar-driven, Tom Petty-esque anthem which should be blasted loud."  Watch the video here

An extensive tour schedule spanning until the end of the year means this is the only opportunity for New Zealand fans to catch Boy & Bear live in 2014. The band have a track record for selling out tours, so be sure to secure tickets fast!
