Yes, it’s official, The Phoenix Foundation will release their second album “Pegasus” through FMR on April 14th 2005.
"We're all so excited to sign with FMR...coz we broke arse mutha f@#$ers. I am personally very keen on drinking beer at their office and stealing as much Flying Nun stuff as I can until they call the cops on me for lifting those original Dave Mitchell 3Ds cover paintings. Now all the band wants to know is if they do actually have a 'mushroom festival' can we please be invited," said singer/guitarist Samuel Flynn Scott.
“Of course you’re invited,” said FMR Managing Director Mark Ashbridge, as he refilled the tank on the company jet after its harrowing return flight from the nation’s capital post-signing, “We always take a stand at Littleweed, see you there on Sunday, even Luke can pop by.”
The first single from “Pegasus” entitled “Hitchcock” has already reached the dizzying heights of New Zealand’s alternative radio chart, and will shortly be joined by a rather top video made by London-based, Wellington producer Rueben Sutherland.
A second single will follow prior to the release of “Pegasus”.
