ok back in 2003 8 up the sun was spawned in napier. Where things didnt go so well to start with. The other members werent committed to stay with the band until after the first gig in 2004 which led to a total disbandment. by dec 2004 jan 2005 Myself leadsinger/founder of the band was rather optimistic on doing it all over again in a new town. So I based it in palmerston north. I met up with a webdesigner who had experience in PR and had some management skills. She built us a website and did all the organising and promoting. In return I had to do was find the members and practice with them regularly. As time went by things didnt look so certain. we tried to get studio time, then our manager pulled the website she built us, then outright quit, then the bandmembers quit on us the day we were going to start recording. I was pissed off. More less thinking thats it im no longer going to do this. then a friend of mine concvinced i should do it again. then i did and expanded our line up to an extra member. I got another line up, then we did a show in august 2005 at a party then they all decided to quit due to the fact that they didnt want to do it. So i deemed 8 up the sun officially dead. But in april of this year I had a thought come to mind and decided to resurrect what was left of the band and add a whole new twist to 8 up the sun. Our bio will be different once we all get together properly. Our influences are a mix between slipknot, marilyn manson, cradle of filth but we are putting our own twist and originality into it. we arent trying to copy anyone or trying to pass ourselves off as them. we are not we are just doing our own thing and we never copy anyones style and we want to be as original as we always have. So once we get our name out there we will promise we will not dissapoint you. The 8th black crusade will destroy all!!!
